SHAKI TAVI (10:00 PM) (Grungegaze - Los Angeles, US) “Minor Slip” marks the Felte debut of Shaki Tavi, the flagship project of Oklahoma-native, Los Angeles-based DIY devotee Leon Manson, surrounded by a band of friends and fellow travelers. Through layered barrages of saturated guitars and overdriven drums, deceptively beautiful pop choruses emerge, highlighted by Manson’s burnished, harmonized baritone voice and his knack for inventive structures. Reflecting on the album’s origins, which he traces back to a period of exhaustion and disillusionment, he recalls: “I started by sitting down with some effects and minimalist gear, playing riffs, asking myself: ‘What if this could be fun?
