Two decades ago, Renan Luce, a young Breton with refined pen and mischievous melody, shook up French song. Released in the relative anonymity of autumn 2006, the album Repenti became a true tidal wave within a few months. 2 million copies, winning a Diamond Record certification.
Renan Luce's talent was then crowned by two Music Victories in 2008: Album Revelation of the Year and Scene Revelation Artist. Since this breakthrough, Renan Luce has continually explored new territories, always favoring quality over immediacy.
His journey is marked by albums praised by critics: Le Clan des miros (Double Platinum), including the hit On n'est pas à une bêtise près. From a ton to a very small weight, a more organic opus recorded with the help of Swedish arranger Peter von Poehl.
Or Renan Luce, an eponymous and introspective album, recorded with a symphony orchestra, revealing a more serious and poetic facet. After celebrating the 20th anniversary of his debut album Repenti, Renan Luce returns in 2027 with a new album and a new show.
