Les Amazones

Les Amazones, written in 2003 by Jean-Marie Chevret, starring Chantal Ladesou, Fiona Gélin and Sonia Dubois, is a boulevard comedy that has become a cult classic. It tells the story of Annie, Martine and Micky, three single women in their forties who live together to face life with humour and solidarity. The arrival of Guillaume, a fragile young man, shakes up their balance and reveals their wounds, desires and contradictions. Between laughter and emotion, the play tenderly explores female friendship, loneliness, love and self-reconstruction. Created at the Théâtre Rive Gauche and directed by Jean-Pierre Dravel and Olivier Macé, the play was an immediate triumph: over 1,000 performances and a status as an unmissable popular comedy. Twenty years later, it returns for a new run in 2025/2026, in a revisited staging by Olivier Macé, faithful to the original spirit while incorporating contemporary codes. The female trio is embodied by Jeanne Savary, Énora Malagré and Ariane Brodier, accompanied by Terence Telle and Thomas Vilan, offering the text a contemporary and intergenerational energy. Thus reinvented, Les Amazones asserts itself more than ever as a funny, human and unifying comedy, a subtle mirror of the relationships and bonds that save us.
