Les alchimistes du design

Two former biology researchers turned artisans d'art present concrete jewellery and high-end leather goods, inspired by the Bauhaus aesthetic, at Galerie 3F in Montmartre.

Two designers, trained in laboratory rigour, present high-end jewellery and leather goods, inspired by the Bauhaus aesthetic. Before working with materials, they observed cells, molecules, and studied geometry.

Nathalie de Parseval and Friedrich Rippmann, both researchers, swapped the lab bench for the workshop, without ever abandoning their method: experimentation, precision of gesture, and an obsession with structure.

It is this almost scientific approach, applied to material and form, that gives the exhibition its title: « Les Alchimistes du Design ».

Nathalie de Parseval crafts contemporary jewellery where geometric lines and the interplay of volumes and light directly recall Bauhaus principles: simplicity, function, harmony of forms.

Friedrich Rippmann, for his part, creates high-end leather goods where the same constructive rigour is found in the cutting and assembly of the leather.

Brought together for the second time in a joint exhibition, the two artisans d'art propose a dialogue between two areas of expertise, driven by the same conviction: one must listen to the material before shaping it.
