Le Mal de Mère

On Christmas Day, Moïse (Max Boublil), a fragile and diligent psychoanalyst, urgently receives an unusual patient in his office: Madeleine (Claire Nadeau).

Demanding an ear to confide in, Madeleine, whimsical, overbearing, and full of life, has no interest in the analytical framework, keeping the mystery of her past life to herself.

In the midst of a personal crisis, Moïse, aided by his psycho-supervisor (Pierre-Olivier Scotto), will have to fight against his growing emotions, with the ghost of a “mother-son” transference hovering over his relationship with his patient.

Between arguments, laughter, and therapy, how far will the collision between these two beings, thirsty for love, go?
