Patrick Marmignon suffers from a rare disease: he's too kind. Everyone takes advantage of him: his mother abuses his time, his sister his money, and his boss his good will. He shares his office with Vanessa, a pretty young woman with whom he is madly in love. Unfortunately, she only sees him as a confidant to whom she recounts her love stories. One day, when he is particularly depressed, Patrick reads an advertisement extolling the merits of Assuérus Chêne, a renowned personal coach. Patrick takes his courage – and his chequebook – in both hands and decides to hire him. From that moment on, nothing will ever be the same in Marmignon's life… And the real troubles begin!
