Friendly Fires

Back with a new album, the British band Friendly Fires, spearheads of the indie-dance scene, will return to the French stage on 29 January at La Maroquinerie in Paris.

After almost a decade dedicated to writing, Friendly Fires returns with “Dig Deeper”, a fourth album that marks a new chapter for one of the essential bands of the British indie-dance scene. Ed Macfarlane and Edd Gibson reconnect with the essence of the band: luminous melodies, intoxicating guitars and irresistible rhythms, while exploring a freer, rawer and more personal sound. Inspired by the golden age of indie-dance, from Talking Heads and New Order to Balearic sounds and nu-rave, "Dig Deeper" blends hypnotic grooves, Latin percussion, grandiose choirs and euphoric atmospheres. An album that draws on the band's musical history while asserting new confidence and a desire to return to what defines their identity: making people dance, without ever ceasing to look further. After their return to the stage in summer 2026, Friendly Fires also confirms all their live energy, mixing new tracks and band classics. With “Dig Deeper”, the duo delivers a vibrant and timeless return, between indie, pop and dance, faithful to the spirit that has accompanied them for almost twenty years.
