Erroll forever

Le Baiser Salé hosts a special evening in tribute to Erroll Garner, an emblematic figure of jazz, with pianist Jean-Michel Bernard surrounded by talented musicians.

This “Erroll Forever” evening pays tribute to Erroll Garner, an American jazz pianist whose unique style left its mark on music history. Active from the 1940s to the 1970s, Garner is famous for his orchestral phrasing, his improvised introductions, and his left-hand technique which created a constant rhythmic accompaniment. His album “Concert by the Sea” is a timeless classic, and tracks like “Misty” have transcended generations. He influenced many musicians with his joyful and virtuosic approach to the piano.

On stage, French composer and pianist Jean-Michel Bernard, known for his film collaborations and his eclecticism, leads this project. He will be accompanied by François Constantin on percussion, William Brunard on double bass, and other guests to recreate Garner's communicative energy.
