Overview
Cage Fight – Exuvia marks a new stage for the band. With the arrival of bassist Will Horsman, the band has deepened its songwriting and enriched its hardcore with more melodies, atmospheres, and experimentation, while retaining its brutal energy.
The album is also very personal: Rachel Aspe wrote the lyrics for eight tracks, inspired by trauma, anxiety, grief, violence, and her grandmother's illness. Exuvia, which means the skin shed during a moult, thus symbolises the transformation and healing of the band and Rachel.
