After three years of triumph on the stages of Paris, Algiers, Brussels, Montreal, and Casablanca, Abdelkader Secteur returns in 2023 with a brand new show that proves he has lost none of his wit and humour. In this new adventure, at the crossroads of storytelling and one-man-show, he recounts with his incredible gift for gab and derision, his colourful existence, shared between the two shores of the Mediterranean. With a sense of observation that is uniquely his own, Abdelkader Secteur describes his hilarious life as an immigrant freshly arrived in Paris. During this journey, Abdelkader Secteur dances with words, juggles with his body, and becomes all the characters of the Commedia Dell’ Arte by himself. If Abdelkader Secteur makes us laugh so much, it is also thanks to his unique way of playing with the Arabic language (Maghrebi Arabic to be exact) and his singular way of twisting common expressions, and revisiting old proverbs. A complete artist, sometimes clown, sometimes storyteller, Abdelkader Secteur is more than a comedian. He is also the 'tonton du bled' (uncle from the homeland) that we are happy to reunite with as a family.
