"With Una historia americana, the Vidala collective presents a show where songs, music, and images respond to each other to tell a story that is both intimate and collective. Like a moving train, the narrative crosses landscapes, cultures, and eras, blending emblematic works and original creations. Carried by the voice of Séverine Soulayrès and an ensemble of musicians, the show draws from Latin American repertoires (Violeta Parra, Víctor Jara, Atahualpa Yupanqui) and reinvents them with contemporary arrangements. Influences intertwine: Andean traditions, African rhythms, European heritage, in a vibrant and deeply mixed music. Throughout the scenes, stories of resistance, exile, and fraternity emerge, as well as moments of joy and unity. Between concert and visual fresco, Una historia americana invites you to a true moment of sharing, during which music becomes a common language, capable of connecting stories and peoples across borders.
