This exhibition is freely accessible. Graffiti, a major art form, is a language, a mode of expression that encourages the public to question life, quite simply.

“HERO” is an exhibition dedicated to global perspectives through writings that redefine the boundaries between urban art, visual design, typography, abstraction, and social narrative.

The intention of this event is to present graffiti as a living, constantly evolving ecosystem, where visual identities, personal styles, and cultural heritage (hip-hop) intersect. The exhibition is dedicated to one of the pioneers of graffiti: HONDO.

Hip-hop movement, muralism, and painting will be available to discover or rediscover, read, study, and interpret.

Through a selection of works and visual archives, the exhibition explores how graffiti — long considered a marginal act — has established itself as a major, transversal, and international artistic language.

We will discover plastic experimentations (supports, formats, materials) intertwined with social commitments (territories, memory, struggles, community), the ephemeral as well as the perennial, experimentation, and the transmission of a humanist message: Peace.

Artist Presentation Born in 1972, Hondo, linked to the hip-hop scene and the Zulu Nation, belongs to the pioneering generation of French graffiti artists who, from the 1980s, contributed to shaping contemporary urban aesthetics.

Hondo is recognised as one of the founding figures of French graffiti and for having evolved graffiti towards a more pictorial and institutional form. A Doctor of Art History and a painter, Hondo contributes to the influence and development of the mo
