Overview
MOBO Award nominee, Femi Temowo is one of the most unique guitarists in British jazz.
Influenced by Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey, then Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, and Wes Montgomery, he has developed a fluid and expressive style where jazz, soul, funk, and West African rhythms converge.
A collaborator with George Benson, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Courtney Pine, The Roots, Omar, Amy Winehouse, and Soweto Kinch, he has established himself with a deeply melodic and groovy approach, always focused on interaction and live performance.
Alongside him is Gildaa, a French-Brazilian singer, musician, and performer, who unfolds a free and theatrical universe, blending chanson, baile funk, jazz, and RnB.
Revealed by Les Inouïs du Printemps de Bourges and winner of the 2025 Jury Prize, she released her eponymous debut album in March 2026, following a series of acclaimed singles and appearances on Taratata, Art Rock, and La Cigale.
Two unique worlds thus meet around a shared taste for groove, improvisation, and freedom.
