live/events/mandrake-handshake MANDRAKE HANDSHAKE The multidimensional collective from Oxford and London, Mandrake Handshake, presents music they describe as “Flowerkraut”: a hedonistic and psychotropic feast blending krautrock, avant-pop, and psychedelia, spiced with enigmatic grooves and audacious improvisations.
With the release of their independent debut album, Earth-Sized World, in February 2025, which climbed into the Top 20 independent sales charts, the band has received praise from The Times, UNCUT, CLASH, BBC Radio 6 Music, and many others.
The controlled energy and elegant chaos of their live shows have earned them numerous festival appearances, several headline tours across the UK and Europe, a sold-out concert at No90 Hackney Wick, as well as an exceptional performance at the legendary Fabric club.
This ascent was immortalised by an acclaimed KEXP session (over 225,000 views to date), recorded in February 2026 following their participation in the Trans Musicales festival the previous December. So… Grab your tambourines! Let your hair flow! Adjust your third-eye eyeliner!
