SUZON x RONDO

Suzon, new (uninhibited) French-language song. Formerly an architect, Suzon trained at the jazz conservatory and earned a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston. This unique background gave rise to a very personal universe, a kind of musical Rubik's cube far removed from academism, blending pop, chanson, and soul. Her voice connects all the tracks, in which a unique groove reigns. Suzon's music, from someone who is a professional public speaker in her daily life, is organic, authentic, and often more complex than it seems. Suzon embodies this new wave of uninhibited French chanson that enjoys pushing boundaries. Ultimately, being Suzon means wanting to be free like Les Rita Mitsouko, wholehearted like Beyoncé, or delicate like Matthieu Boogaerts.

Damien Rondo is a singer-songwriter, and also a film set designer. Between nostalgic electro-pop and a variety he describes as “naive and sincere,” he draws inspiration from the Nouvelle Vague as well as Italian and French chanson from the 60s to the 80s. Here and there, one can hear the influence of Dominique A, François & The Atlas Mountain, Etienne Daho, and of course, Françoise Hardy, an absolute idol. His collaboration with composer and musical director Mathieu Baillot allowed him to deploy cinematic arrangements over catchy melodies. His first EP 'Lièvre' was released in June 2024.
