Founded in 2014 on the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland, Australia, the Sunshine Coast Guitar Orchestra (SCGO) has established itself as an ensemble where music becomes a true space for meeting and sharing.

Open to all, from beginner guitarists to the most experienced musicians, the orchestra cultivates the richness of diversity and allows everyone to find their place within the collective.

Its repertoire, developed with the members and adapted to their abilities, embraces a remarkable variety of styles, from world music to 1950s and 1960s surf music, from classical repertoire to pop and film scores.

Through eclectic programmes and warm concerts, the SCGO celebrates much more than just the guitar: it makes music a universal language, capable of bringing together generations, cultures and backgrounds around a shared passion.
