« Borrowing their name from Chuck Jones' iconic character and Bo Diddley's classic, the Roadrunners carved out a place in French rock history over some fifteen years, from 1982 to 1996, and six albums. Combining the Beatles' innate sense of melody, the pure energy of The Jam, and the class of The Dogs, the band from Le Havre delivered over a thousand incandescent concerts, mainly in France but also abroad – from the United States to Belgium. One of the rare French bands to master 'Franglish' through Frandol's ultra-polished lyrics, the Road, as they were known to intimates, were often, during these seismic concerts, the best French rock live band and sometimes simply the best live rock band.  » Philippe Manche
