Passion Schumann offers a journey into the intimate and creative world of Robert and Clara Schumann, one of the most fascinating stories of Romanticism.

Music, love, literature, friendship, and creation intertwine to bring to life the world of two artists for whom art was not an activity separate from life: it was life itself.

The show explores different moments of this story through works for violin and piano and for piano four hands, accompanied by narrative interventions that reveal the circumstances, connections, and secret codes hidden behind the scores: Robert Schumann's two Sonatas for violin and piano, Op.

105 and Op. 121, frame this journey and reveal two facets of a passionate, imaginative, and deeply literary composer.

We hear Clara's voice, not only as Robert's companion, muse, and interpreter, but also as an extraordinary artist and creator in her own right, through her Three Romances, Op. 22. Around Robert and Clara also appear some of the major figures of 19th-century music.

Passion Schumann does not seek to tell a biography in a conventional way.
