Overview
Passi, born in 1972 in Brazzaville (Congo), arrived in France in 1979 and grew up in Sarcelles. , a pioneer of French rap. Following the success of the albums Pourquoi tant de haine? and 95200, he created Secteur Ä and helped to discover numerous artists.
His solo career took off with Les Tentations (1997), which went gold and was a huge popular success. He then founded his label Issap Productions and the collective Bisso Na Bisso, which received international awards.
A committed artist, actor, director, and producer, he also leads cultural and humanitarian initiatives in Africa and France. A major figure in French-speaking rap for over 30 years, he continues to create and perform on stage.
In 2026, he will release the album Bande Originale, bringing together several generations of French and African rap.
