Visit the 18th-century Palais Rohan (Bordeaux City Hall), originally built for Archbishop Ferdinand Maximilien Mériadec de Rohan. The building consists of a central structure and two lower wings. Accompanied by a guide, discover this masterpiece of Bordeaux's history.
Over the centuries, the Palais Rohan has played many roles: archbishop's residence, revolutionary tribunal, departmental and prefectural hotel. Since 1836, it has served as Bordeaux City Hall.
Behind its Louis XVI façade lie the grand staircase, the former reception rooms, and the municipal council chamber, completed in 1889 in the style of the Third Republic.
