Michael Schenker is a legendary figure in rock, considered one of the most talented and influential guitarists of all time. Instantly recognisable, both for his precise and melodic playing and his iconic use of the Gibson Flying V guitar, he has left an indelible mark on hard rock history. His work with Scorpions, UFO, and the Michael Schenker Group has made him a true icon, inspiring generations of musicians, including Steve Harris, Kirk Hammett, and Slash. A founding member of Scorpions alongside his brother Rudolf Schenker, he revealed his talent early on with the album Lonesome Crow. In 1973, he joined UFO, with whom he enjoyed a prosperous period between 1974 and 1978, often referred to as the “Schenker era”.

During this period, he contributed to cult albums such as Phenomenon and Lights Out, as well as the legendary live album Strangers in the Night, still considered an absolute benchmark today. He also co-wrote timeless classics such as Doctor Doctor, Rock Bottom, and Only You Can Rock Me. He left UFO in early 1979, just before the release of Strangers in the Night, then briefly rejoined Scorpions, contributing to the album Lovedrive, often considered one of the band's masterpieces. Tracks like Another Piece of Meat, Coast to Coast, and Holiday bear witness to his decisive influence. In 1979, he finally founded the Michael Schenker Group (MSG), marking a new major stage in his career. After a period marked by career fluctuations, Michael made his return in 2010 with the 30th Anniversary Tour. That same year, he also released the live album 30th Anniversary – Shepperds Bush Empire, which charted at 81st in Germany.
