On the programme: Interstellar, Jurassic Park, The Dark Knight, Harry Potter, Inception, Star Wars, and Pirates of the Caribbean – rediscover your favourite film scores performed by over 70 musicians on stage!

Under the direction of conductor Nicolas Simon, the Yellow Socks Orchestra – a French symphony orchestra specialising in film music – will perform live the greatest scores by these two genius composers.

John Williams, the undisputed master of orchestration, revolutionised film music from the 1970s onwards. The resident composer for Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, he penned the scores for the greatest masterpieces of the 7th art: E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jaws, Indiana Jones... His unforgettable melodic themes, recognisable from the very first notes, restored the symphony orchestra to its former glory in cinema. Awarded 5 Oscars and 54 nominations, Williams remains a living legend whose work transcends generations.

Hans Zimmer, meanwhile, embodies modernity and audacity. A German-born American composer, he disrupted the codes of film music by fusing monumental orchestrations with electronic sounds. His collaborations with Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar) and Ridley Scott (Gladiator) have marked the history of contemporary cinema. Awarded 2 Oscars, Zimmer sculpts immersive atmospheres that transform each scene into a true emotional thrill.
