The new show from a duo that sings, charms, and disarms with good humour! Les Coquettes are Lola and Marie, two singers who cultivate a quirky and impertinent sense of humour. Their shows, blending committed songs, sharp retorts, and audience interaction, remain the best antidote to the blues. Whether in their videos “Les petites chansoans” broadcast on Instagram, or in their sung chronicles on stage and on the Télématin set, the two women, as “girly” as they are impertinent, demonstrate contagious energy. They also impress with their vocal qualities and harmonies that evoke post-war American swing groups. After the triumph of Merci Francis and a repertoire that addressed all their concerns as thirty-somethings, Les Coquettes are back on the road with a new project, the main lines of which they themselves reveal to us: “What if joy wasn't just a feeling, but an act of resistance? What if all we had left was that: joy and pleasure. With this new musical show, we search together, blindly or with eyes wide open, for the path to collective enjoyment. Not to escape the world, nor to save it, but rather to traverse it while still enjoying ourselves a little.”
