For this new edition, "À contre courant" (Against the Current), the Mois du doc will once again take over Paris libraries for a month with screenings, meetings, and even exhibitions.
Questioning norms, dominant narratives, and ways of inhabiting the world is what this year's Mois du doc offers through films that go "against the current." From the struggle of a Calabrian village to advocate for the reception of exiles (Un village en résistance by Shu Aiello
and Catherine Catella) to behind the scenes of a drag cabaret in the 20th arrondissement of Paris (Habibi, Chanson pour mes ami·e·s by Florent Gouëlou), and including Marielle Issartel's guerrilla cinema on abortion, the network of Parisian libraries offers a pluralistic
exploration of this theme, to shift one's perspective on the world.
