Every Wednesday, Pierre Brochant and his friends organise a dinner for 'idiots'. The principle is simple: each participant brings an "idiot", and the one whose guest distinguishes themselves the most is declared the winner. This evening, Pierre is happy; he thinks he has found a rare gem: François Pignon, an accountant at the Ministry of Finance, passionate about matchstick models. But what he doesn't know is that Pignon, ready to do anything to help, is a notorious jinx, a master in the art of triggering catastrophes.... The encounter between two destinies that should never have crossed paths....
