There are hundreds, thousands at La Rue Kétanou concerts. Hundreds, thousands, loyal fans, informed listeners, curious newcomers, converts. Always ready for a reunion. Always ready to march to their emancipated choruses and verses. And it’s all there, in the story told by the band and the audience, in this complicit sharing that has continued for over two decades. A band recognised and respected for its aesthetic and integrity. Freedom of tone. Freedom of inspiration. Freedom of time too. But you never abandon a rope team with La Rue Kétanou: you tie yourself to it. Sometimes, you only loosen it to satisfy other impulses, open other doors, experiment with other transmissions. Because for over twenty years, La Rue Kétanou has cultivated a free and fraternal song. Around Florent Vintrigner's pen, the band brings together the transversal energy of Mourad Musset, the troupe spirit of Olivier Leite, the nomadic breath of accordionist Pierre Luquet (who arrived in 2016) and, now, the mixed groove of percussionist Narjess Saad, a free spirit trained by GUEM and who has played with Playing For Change (Manu Chao). © Melodyn
