Fabienne Morel and Debora Di Gilio take you on a journey along the Breton and Italian paths of these great tales from our childhood, unearthing traditional versions from their homelands. The three corkscrew-tailed heroes are thus dethroned by three Breton hens, and the famous grandmother-eater by a hairy Italian ogress. The two storytellers revisit tradition with boundless energy. Rhythm, song, mimicry, bodies that tell stories, two intertwining voices, and a zest of Italian language: these are the ingredients of this show, full of freshness and humour, where you'll find all the flavour of animated cartoons.

The hairy ogress, the first story in the show, is inspired by an Italian version of Little Red Riding Hood. You can find it as a CD book from Syros editions, illustrated by Nathalie Choux.

La poulette et les trois maisonnettes (The Little Hen and the Three Little Houses), the second story in this show, has also been published as a CD book. It is also illustrated by Nathalie Choux from Syros editions.

The duo

Our paths crossed in 2004 during a storytelling training course. In our early days, we would meet for work sessions on our solo repertoires, for discussions, little teas and confidences (well, okay, the little teas sometimes replaced by a bowl of cider or a good little Italian wine!). We shared our worlds, our stories. We discovered common ground: a taste for traditional dance and song. And then, in 2005, a first attempt at a two-voice story, just like that, to see, to have fun. And immediately, a lot of pleasure in building and telling, the current flowing. The audience was immediately captivated by this astonishing alchemy.
