Exposition Pascal Pichon : "Ce qui demeure".

Seven years after the exhibition dedicated to the painter Pascal Pichon "Le Pays où l’on n’arrive jamais", the galerie Les Montparnos is delighted to invite you to a new encounter around his poetic work.

Pascal Pichon Ce qui demeure Images. A world of images. This world, our own. And each of us, having become this gaze seeking to see among these representations, these visions, these imitations, these fabrications.

But sometimes, there, given to be seen, through these images: presence. An image of presence. Thus, Pascal Pichon's paintings. Representations of what is.

To see there, for example, the memory, the portrait of a face that one might have thought lost and which reappears in pure presence. Memory? Yes, at first glance. But different. Not the slow emergence of a tender past, but the unexpected, unhoped-for appearance of... the poetic.

The poetic of seeing, to be savoured like a childhood treat. Pascal Pichon works to place before our eyes the world as poetry. This poetry which is none other, is it not, than the world pursuing the creation that it is. A memory then of creation continuing before our eyes.

Pascal Pichon's small formats. Their frames like jewel boxes. Poetic jewels. The small formats of what remains. The jewels of seeing, there, just a little, a little apart from the world of images.
