Singer Elina Duni has developed a unique universe at the crossroads of jazz, French chanson (Brel, Gainsbourg, Aznavour), and Balkan or Mediterranean traditions.
In Rob Luft, a London guitarist whose airy flourishes perfectly complement her refined singing, she has found an accompanist of choice: a true alter ego, with whom she now co-writes all her repertoire and will release a new duo album in early 2026.
Unanimously praised by the international press, she has recorded half a dozen albums for the prestigious Munich label ECM, which are all musical and emotional gems, whether it's a jazz standard with strong connotations, complex rhythmic Albanian or Kosovar traditional pieces, or even, occasionally and surprisingly, works from the old cauldron of French chanson.
