Chloé Oliveres - Mon Côté Wertheimer

After Quand je serai grande, je serai Patrick Swayze, Chloé Oliveres returns to the stage with a new solo show that explores the legacy of madness through colourful female family figures. Terrified by the idea of becoming “mad”, Chloé Oliveres probes the psychological fragility of her ancestors. But were they cracked? Or was it not rather patriarchy that labelled them non-conformist? To shed her fear and cherish this matriliny that constitutes her, she tries to reconcile with the mothers on the Wertheimer side of her family. In this luminous solo show, she reflects on mental health through time and women's history. Through her “melancholic” great-grandmother interned at Sainte-Anne hospital, her grandmother suffering from Alzheimer's, her mother and herself, Chloé Oliveres traces the thread of her matriliny and her psychic heritage. An exploration tinged with humour and tenderness.
