First evening of the carte blanche to the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation as part of Les Traversées du Marais with concerts by Roman And The Hot 4 and Stefan Rusconi & Tobias Preisig. The concerts are preceded by a free musical aperitif to start the evening.

After a decade of silence, pianist Stefan Rusconi and violinist Tobias Preisig are relaunching their duo LEVITATION with Palimpsest. Recorded in a Hamburg church around the organ, this new project explores how works transform over time. Conceived as modular scores, the compositions reinvent themselves with each interpretation, balancing composition and improvisation. Carried by the singular resonance of the organ and the architecture that houses it, the music unfolds a soundscape where contemporary jazz, experimentation, and ambient music meet.
10:00 PM - Roman And The Hot 4
Swiss guitarist and composer Roman Nowka develops an open music, nourished by jazz, popular music, and improvisation. Surrounded by his quintet, he shapes a sound universe where composition, freedom of play, and collective listening meet. Driven by a taste for aesthetic cross-pollination and collaborations, the ensemble offers vibrant, demanding, and generous music, which gives ample space to dialogue between the musicians and to the exploration of new sound textures.
